  THE PROJECT

This innovative sports programme is aimed at educating youngsters in health, fitness, behavioural attitudes and the further development of personal self esteem.

It is designed to teach young kids the rules of football through a simple online test and how to best conduct themselves while playing the game.

Our goal is to educate them on behavioural attitudes towards referees, coaches and fellow players and to enjoy the game. The Sporting Master’s Programme is designed to give young kids the opportunity to first of all learn the Laws of the Game using a small, easy to read guide book accompanied by an Online “Laws of the Game” testing site where the kids can test their knowledge. This booklet and the official FIFA Laws of the Game book will also be available as a download from our website.

Anyone can try the online test by registering online at the Fair Sporting Masters website but only the clubs registering will be able to compare scores via the website.
  HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Sporting Masters was developed from an idea between William McQuilter, one of the co-founders, and Maurice Donahue, Children's Football Officer at West Dunbartonshire Council. Their idea was to produce a DVD that highlighted the effect of adult’s bad behaviour on children and the consequences of aggression and anti-social behaviour that is often cloaked under the heading of "A winning mentality".
